With Eric Gordon, one of the Rockets' prized 3-point shooters, struggling with his 3-point shot, Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said he knew just what to say: Nothing.

Gordon has made just five of 34 3-pointers in his four games (he missed one with a sore calf) since returning to his role coming off the bench. D'Antoni did not want to say, or even hear anything about it.

"You don't mess with anything like that. No," D'Antoni said. "It's like if you have a good marriage you have selective hearing. To have good shooters, you have selective eye sight."

With that in mind, D'Antoni said he would pretend to be unaware that Gordon was not on a roll, assuring he will not offer guidance that would have him thinking at a time it would be better not to overanalyze.

"I had no idea," D'Antoni said facetiously. "I thought he was hitting every shot."
